MGH said good-bye to Mike Cusack
, Assistant Director, who left the hospital in June to serve as the Director of Technology at Noble and Greenough School in Dedham, MA.
We wish him the best in this new opportunity.
MGH also said good-bye to Matthew Beagan
, BMET, who also left the department in June to pursue an opportunity at Beth Israel Hospital. We wish him well.
Congratulations to Ketaki Muthal who has been promoted to Senior Clinical Engineer. Ketaki has over 9 years of clinical engineering experience. In addition to the many projects she has successfully led, Ketaki serves as the resource engineer for the MUSE system and the various infusion pump platforms. Ketaki holds a Masters’ degree in Biomedical Engineering, and she achieved her clinical engineering certification (CCE) in June 2017.
MGH welcomes Nehal Kapadia, CE, who recently completed her clinical engineering internship with us as well as her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from UConn. She will be joining us as a full-time clinical engineer in mid-July. Nehal has several years of experience in Biomedical Engineering and healthcare technology management. Her experience includes working as a Biomedical Engineer for the Kidney Foundation of Fiji, and multiple positions in medical equipment management and procurement working for the Fiji Ministry of Health.
Natalia Tabares Franco rejoined the department in June as a Senior Clinical Engineer. Natalia worked at MGH as a graduate clinical engineering intern while pursuing her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at UConn. Upon completion of the program, she worked as a clinical engineer with us from 2011-2013. She then returned to Colombia for the opportunity to serve as Chief of Clinical Engineering for San Vicente Foundation Hospital.
MGH also welcomes Alexis Henry, CE, who joined the department on June 11th. Alexis recently completed her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from UConn. She did her two-year clinical engineering internship at Lifespan Health Systems in Providence, RI where she worked on a variety of projects including medical device integration, clinical alarm management, and technology assessment and implementation.

, BMET, who left the department in July to join the MGH Anesthesia clinical engineering group. We wish him well.
