Employment Opportunities

Partners Biomedical Engineering (PBME) is comprised of the Departments of Biomedical Engineering at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). Our hospitals are located in Boston but serve the world. We are internationally recognized for the patient care we provide and the medical research we conduct.

Here are some of the exciting and challenging projects we are working on today:
• The ”Building for the Third Century,” a 530,000 square foot, state-of-the-art clinical facility slated to open in 2011.

• The Shapiro Cardiovascular Center, newly opened to provide enhanced, patient-centric care in heart disease.

• Medical Device Plug and Play, an initiative to advance seamless communication between medical devices.

• Safe, wireless medical device implementations

• Integration of medical devices into IT networks, a collaboration with our IT colleagues
• “Smart Pumps,” a concept developed by an MGH BioMedical Engineering team, are being further developed with the goal of failure-free drug administration.
In addition to exceptional opportunities for rewarding work, PBME offers flexible work schedules for enhanced work/life balance.
